Flicx – built on passion

Our founder is a sports enthusiast who realised there weren’t enough facilities for the increasingly-popular sport of cricket, especially in South Africa. With his immense passion, he founded Flicx South Africa. In August 1997, Flicx hit a 6 when he rolled out the first Flicx cricket pitch at Telkom Country Club in Pretoria, South Africa.

Our founder wanted to share his passion and love of sport with more than just South Africa so in 1999, Flicx launched the Flicx Cricket Pitch at the England and Wales Cricket coaching conference. We hit the stumps with a tremendous response and the ECB ordered 800 pitches for grassroots cricket in the UK and the rest is history.

In 2001 we added the popular Brell Bowling Machine to our cricket solution by purchasing the company and taking over the manufacturing. Over the years we have refined and developed them to offer superior machines to all levels of the cricketers.

Flicx in now a recognized and well-respected name in cricketing circles, with a growing reputation in other sports as a facilities specialist.
